Effective Pb-free training in Philadelphia
Indium Corp and the American Competitiveness Institute have teamed up once again to present what they reckon is the most effective Pb-free training programme available worldwide
Indium Corp and the American Competitiveness Institute (ACI) have teamed up once again to present what they reckon is the most effective Pb-free training programme available worldwide. The 2.5 day seminar is scheduled for 13th to 15th September 2005 at the National Center of Excellence in electronics manufacturing Technology in Philadelphia.

The seminar features world-class training facilities, hands-on Pb-free production and a review of the WEEE and RoHS regulations.
Delegates will also get assistance on selection and evaluation of Pb-free materials as well as implementation planning.
The seminar is divided into two sessions, classroom presentations and hands-on training.
The classroom sessions will cover legislation, alloy selection, PCB selection of surface finishes and board materials, and components.
Delegates will also hear about two case studies - Motorola and Hewlett Packard.
The hands-on training will include segments on hand soldering, wave soldering, reflow soldering, rework and repair, X-ray inspection and SEM metallurgy.
The presenter for the training programme will be Ronald C Lasky PhD, PE and Senior Technologist for Indium Corp.
Dr Lasky, holder of the prestigious SMTA Founder's Award, is a world-renown process expert and a visiting professor at Dartmouth College.
He has over 20 years of experience in electronics and optoelectronic packaging and assembly.
He has authored or edited five books and numerous technical papers, and holds several patent disclosures.
The cost of the seminar is $1295 per person.
