An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release SFP+ cable assemblies enable 10Gb/s Ethernet apps from Tyco Electronics, which we summarised at the time by saying "The SFP+ copper and Paralight active optical cable assemblies offer a cost-effective alternative to standard fibre-optic cables in 10Gb/s Ethernet, 8Gb/s Fibre Channel and Infiniband applications.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Slotted switch allows non-contact object sensing from Optek Technology: "Providing machine and automation design engineers with a reliable means of non-contact interruptive object sensing, Optek has developed a low-profile slotted switch with a wider slot. ".
In April 2010, we covered the news from Optek Technology - take a look at Optek offers optical switch with Photologic sensor which says: "Optek Technology has developed a Photologic slotted optical switch in a right-angle package to provide design engineers a flexible optical device with multiple output configurations.".
Take a look also at the news release from Optek Technology, Fluid sensor has automatic calibration circuitry, as well as Random-access memories have low power consumption from IMEC, and Marktech launches high-purity InP wafers from Marktech Optoelectronics.
