Imagination Technologies is showcasing its Meta and UCC IP cores this week at Embedded Technology 2004 at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall, Kanagawa, Japan

Says David McBrien, VP Business Development, Imagination Technologies: "We've already proven the capabilities of our multistandard market-leading technologies for radio and digital television broadcast with over one million units shipped by Imagination's partners in those markets". "We are now also offering solutions for ISDB-T and ATSC, as well as mobile TV standards including DVB-H and S-DMB".

"We look forward to explaining our unique strengths in these areas at the conference".

Digital One, Frontier Silicon and Sharp Corp are among the licensees of both Meta and UCC technologies.

The Meta processor core and Ensigma UCC are already successfully shipping in devices targeting the DAB (digital audio broadcast), T-DMB (terrestrial digital multimedia broadcast) and DVB-T (terrestrial digital video broadcast) markets.

In fact the DAB solution powered by Imagination's IP cores currently has over 70% of the global market share.

In addition, Meta and UCC have been designed into products supporting other worldwide digital broadcast standards and analogue TV.

Embedded Technology 2004 is the largest trade show and conference in Asia for embedded system designers.
