High-speed emulator has USB controller covered
The DProbeHS in-circuit emulation system from Hitex now supports the USB 2.0 derivative AT89C5131 from Atmel.
In particular, the entry-level TantinoXC JTAG debugger can be expanded with additional features approaching the functionality of a traditional emulator.
An optional time-analyser function specifically designed for customers in the automotive sector allows the measurement and analysis of runtime behaviour.
In addition, a detailed trace and performance analyser means that specific trace cases can be defined and recorded.
The TantinoXC continuously reads out the trace data almost without real time violation and files it into the trace buffer.
Also Tantino systems that are already in use for XC166 development can be easily adapted to the new XC2300 family by a licence upgrade.
The XC2300 family provides 32bit performance and a rich peripheral set.
"This makes the XC2300 family ideally suited for present and future use in vehicle safety applications such as airbag systems and power-steering applications with strong need for fast reaction time, flexibility and reliability", says Ines Pedersen, Product Marketing Manager for the XC2300 family at Infineon Technologies.
"As additional support we offer our customers an optimised real-time-compliant development environment with the Hitex tools".
The TantinoXC as all Hitex development systems is controlled by Hitop, the universal user interface allowing complete high level language debugging and the simply integration of additional tools.
As part of a collaborative deal with Altium, a special version of the new Viper-technology based Tasking VX compiler can be integrated into Hitop.
Attractively priced bundles consisting of debugger and compiler are available directly from Hitex.
