The 20Mpixel camera module for top inspections enables a microscopic resolution with telecentric image recording in an inspection area of about 170mm.

Goepel Electronic has released OptiCon TurboLine, an AOI system for the high-end inspection during large volume production that ensures superior quality for high-value PCBs.

At the heart of the system there is a newly developed camera system which can be configured for individual requirements with multiple cameras for orthogonal views and angled inspection.

The 20Mpixel camera module for top inspections enables a microscopic resolution with telecentric image recording in an inspection area of about 170mm.

Based on Extended Colour Technology, accurate colour images at repair stations and coloured inspection tasks are available in different resolution levels.

The camera modules for the angled inspection offer an excellent image quality and completely cover the orthogonal camera's inspection area.

Freely selectable rotation angles of the angled view modules allows the inspection of components in any angular position.

A drive system with linear motors boosts the operating speed and a segmented band module minimises handling times.

For double-sided inspections an underside camera module is also available.

The modular construction of the OptiCon TurboLine allows of these components and functions to be customised and configured to produce a properly aligned system.
