Advanced Technology Group (ATeG), the company formed by some of Europe's leading design-in distributors, has gained a new partner in the form of Anatronic. Anatronic, which will "look after" Spain and Portugal, joins founder members GD Technik, Ineltek and Anatec in a grouping that aims to provide customers with a wider ex-stock inventory choice and stronger application expertise. Advanced Technology Group's very strong technical offering provides customers with a true design-in to production service Anatronic has offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao in Spain, and also in Lisbon in Portugal.

"Having local offices in the various regions of the Iberian peninsula is extremely important", said John Pater, Anatronic's Managing Director.

"With such a strong local presence we are well placed to service the needs of the two countries' industrial manufacturing base".

"Anatronic is no stranger to ATeG", said Lisalynn Carter Managing Director of GD Technik.

"As Atmel's number one design-in distributor for the Spanish and Portuguese markets the company has great synergy with the other ATeG members and has worked with them in the past.

Bringing Anatronic into the fold not only gives us wider European coverage it also provides greater choice, strengthening both the ATeG line card and increasing the inventory holding available to all ATeG customers".

The formation of Advanced Technology Group is a response to the growing trend of distribution customers seeking low cost manufacturing centres on a worldwide basis and the need for distributors to protect their design-in investment.

The formation of ATeG enables tracking of world-wide business to the purchasing point.

The partnership of Anatec, Anatronic, GD Technik, and Ineltek allows for continued design focus while still applying best local practices and uncompromised local service.

Advanced Technology Group is well placed to attract new franchises looking for a "local" approach to distribution across Europe that has a strong design-in focus.

Maintaining the local, independent sales presence is key to the success of the new venture.

ATeG will continue to develop and enhance its strong customer relationships in each region.

Not only can ATeG offer new partners access to new customers and territories but also a single contact point to consolidate orders and reduce administrative effort.
