Splicers claim faster
and easier operation
Furukawa Electric Europe is claiming a world-leading breakthrough in the speed and ease of use of optical-fibre splicing technology, to be unveiled at next month's ECOC show in Amsterdam
Furukawa, which was one of the first companies to manufacture optical-fibre cable, is using the prestigious ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication) event to introduce its new S176 Series core-aligning fusion splicers, which takes just 11s to complete the splice process, including the loss estimation.

Visitors to the Furukawa stand will be able to see the product in action throughout the show.
