Two new test and measurement tools for optical fibre, expanding Fujikura's presence in the single-mode fibre test market
There are two versions in full production; a single wavelength module (SLB138H) compliant with ITU G659 standards and a 100GHz DWDM module (SLB1D8H-C) for higher capacity applications. Both modules are fully compliant with the MSA 4.0 standards, allowing multirate operation from 9.95 to 11.1Gbit/s.
Both use cooled 1550nm EML modulators to produce excellent chirp characteristics and dispersion penalties better than 1dB.
'Even though Sigma Links is a relatively new name for the European Market' says Simon Richardson, Product Manager, at Fujikura Europe.
'It is a leading brand in the Asian market fully backed by our parent company Fujikura, with established large scale production for both XFP and the 300PIN modules'.

'In-house APDs for example, have allowed us to achieve excellent sensitivities of better than -26dBm'.
'Plus excellent temperature performance is achieved with power consumption less than 4W at 60C and below 3W from room temperature to -20C'.
