Small claims for
miniature watch crystal
The FX135, which is less expensive than previous models, is the smallest miniature watch crystal available, measuring just 3.2 x 1.5mm with a very low profile of 0.9mm
Fox Electronics has added a new tuning fork to its wide range of watch crystals. The FX135, which is less expensive than previous models, is the smallest miniature watch crystal available, measuring just 3.2 x 1.5mm with a very low profile of 0.9mm. The extremely small size of the new FX135 watch crystal makes it ideal for applications where space is critical, such as in portable and handheld devices.

With a frequency of 32.768kHz, the new surface mount device (SMD) is optimised for a standard 12.5pF load capacitance (FX135A), with an optional load capacitance of 9pF available (FX135B).
Frequency tolerance is +/-20ppm at 25C and frequency stability is -0.045ppm/C over the standard operating temperature of -40 to +85C.
Turnover temperature range is +20 to +30C, and storage temperature is -55 to +125C.
Maximum equivalent series resistance of the new FX135 crystal is 50kohm and insulation resistance is 500Mohm at 100V DC.
Aging is +/-3ppm per year.
The termination finish is gold over nickel.
The new watch crystal is RoHS-compliant and comes standard in a 3000-unit tape and reel for automatic assembly systems.
Pricing for an FX135 is $0.59 each in quantities of 12,000.
Delivery is stock to eight weeks ARO.
