PMC frame grabber
captures digital and aanlogue
The PMC-724 is the first frame-grabber module to support both digital and analogue video capture in a ruggedised PMC form factor
Designed for the environmental extremes of defence and aerospace applications, the PMC-724 builds on existing Dy 4 hardware and software products enabling integration with the company's extensive line of single board computers, PMCs and graphics/imaging platforms. The PMC-724 captures digital video formats such as OpenLDI, and FlatLink, as well as NTSC, Pal, RS-170 and S-Video analogue formats.

Italtel to apply central office platform
Italtel will base its next-generation iMSS media servers, media gateway servers and signalling servers on Force's new Centellis CO 31KX AdvancedTCA modular communications platform
Custom digital video formats are also supported through the use of the onboard FPGA.
Support of these video modes makes the PMC-724 an ideal technology insertion solution for retrofit and new applications.
The integrated software support for the PMC-724 enables developers to quickly make use of the frame-grabber module under the VxWorks/Tornado development environment to suit their application and configuration requirements.
Both an X11/OpenGL and graphical user interface (GUI) independent software application programming interface (API) is supported.
Focusing on real-time image capture, the new frame-grabber module provides for multiple frame buffer management and high-speed image transfer to PCI-mapped memory.
The high-speed image transfer is supported through the 66MHz-capable PCIbus interface on the PMC-724.
This along with a number of other features, makes it ideal for use in applications such as target tracking or unmanned air vehicle (UAV) surveillance.
Taking a solutions oriented approach, the PMC-724 is tested and supported with numerous Dy 4 base cards, PMCs and the Cornerstone imaging platform (SVME/DMV-712).
This ensures seamless integration with a broad range of Dy 4 products and enables customers to develop a best-in-class system for the defence and aerospace markets.
