New agreement with Ohmite will bring the very latest in resistive product technology to the electronics design engineering community in Europe.

Farnell has signed a new distribution agreement with Ohmite to offer its technologically advanced resistive products on a worldwide basis.

The new agreement effectively globalises Farnell's relationship with Ohmite as Newark, the US distributor and part of the Premier Farnell Group, already carries the Ohmite product range and lists them as its largest resistor supplier.

A specialist in power resistor technology, Ohmite offers wire-element, thick-film and carbon-composite constructions for high-current, high-voltage and high-energy applications.

Farnell has already added over 2500 Ohmite products to its portfolio, available online via the Farnell website.

This includes some of Ohmite's newest and most advanced devices, the LVK, TK/TN, OX/OY and 2010 SMD series.

Commenting on the agreement, Claire Doyle, Director European Supplier Management, Farnell says: "The new agreement with Ohmite will bring the very latest in resistive product technology to the electronics design engineering community in Europe, greatly benefiting their new product designs".

"We fully intend to replicate the successful relationship that exists between Ohmite and Newark in North America".

Greg Pace, Director Global Sales and Marketing, Ohmite adds: "As a predominantly North American supplier, this agreement with Farnell is an important step in Ohmite's mission to be a recognised global brand for power resistive products".

"Design engineers around the world will have a new opportunity to select from some of our most advanced technologies, and buyers will receive those products at the highest service levels in electronics distribution".
