simplifies air conditioning
Daikin Industries has selected the Fairchild 600V AC, 10A Mini-SPM smart power module to power its high-efficiency, three-phase air conditioner inverter systems
The Fairchild Mini-SPM is a fully optimised, intelligent IGBT module housed in a mini dual inline package (mini-DIP). This very compact (44 x 26.8mm), ceramic-based and transfer moulded package allows the Mini-SPM to provide competitive board space savings as well as thermal advantages. Additionally, the Mini-SMP offers technological improvements such as high latch immunity and built-in dv/dt-controlled high-voltage integrated circuits (HVICs).

Daikin Industries selected the Mini-SPM based on both the product's superior performance and Fairchild's proven history of engineering support.
Daikin supplies over one third of the total commercial and industrial air conditioning systems for the Japanese market.
Fairchild expects to ship 400,000 units of the Mini-SPM devices per year to Daikin.
