Rowe moves up to cover Europe
Fairchild Semiconductor has promoted Brent Rowe to the position of vice president of Sales and Marketing for Europe
Rowe will report directly to Hans Wildenberg, Fairchild's executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Rowe will be responsible for directing and growing Fairchild's business in Europe to increase market share gains with a focus on the ultra-portable, industrial and automotive markets as well as telecommunication and data communication segments, while penetrating new market opportunities with Fairchild's extensive power product offerings.

"Brent has a proven track record of achieving growth and creating opportunity for Fairchild, and as a result did a tremendous job recently as interim vice president of Sales and Marketing in Japan where, over two quarters, he drove an increase in revenues that exceeded 40%", said Hans Wildenberg, executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

Rowe has more than 16 years experience in the semiconductor industry in various engineering, marketing, business development, manufacturing and management roles.
Rowe started his career at National Semiconductor, where he moved up the ranks to product line director in 1993 and held increasingly responsible management positions.
Rowe moved to Fairchild when the company was established in 1997.
As regional and product marketing director for Fairchild's Interface and Logic Group, Rowe managed and grew the Asia Pacific, Korea and Japan businesses to represent 63% of the group's current billing plus backlog - up from less than 35% in 1997.
Rowe holds a BSc in with an emphasis in semiconductor physics and processing from the University of Illinois.
