WDR DIN rails offer efficiency up to 92 per cent

Mean Well has introduced the WDR series of DIN rails featuring a single-phase wide input range, which is available from Ecopac Power.
The WDR-120 series is a 120W AC/DC slim-line DIN rail power supply with efficiency up to 92 per cent.
Mean Well has introduced a new series of Din Rails with a single phase wide input range the WDR series.
The WDR series is equipped with 180-550VAC single-phase wide input range, able to operate with single-phase 230VAC input or utilising one phase from the 330~550VAC three-phase power system, which increases the flexibility of the power supply.
With up-to-date circuit design, the WDR-120 series can provide 120W continuously up to 60C by only free air convection, or operate up to 70C ambient temperature with power de-rating.
The design is 40mm wide, making it 30.58 per cent smaller in size compared with the DRH-120 series.
With a wider input range, the WDR-120 also has six per cent higher efficiency than equivalent models.
Other standard functions include DC OK relay contact, power-on LED indicator, as well as protection for short-circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature conditions.
The WDR-120 series complies with UL/CUL/CE safety standards and also meets the EMC requirements of heavy industrial immunity level (EN61000-6-2).
Applications include industrial control system, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electro-mechanical applications, and marine-related installations.
