Easby Electronics now offers customised discrete power semiconductors through its franchise with Fagor Electronica, as well as a very wide standard offering of SCRs and triacs from which an ideal match can be made for a particular application. Fagor Electronica is a dedicated manufacturer of discrete power semiconductors, producing triacs and SCRs as part of its core business.

For motor control and other inductive switching applications, for example, Easby offers over 200 Fagor high commutation triacs to provide a comprehensive choice of characteristics and packages for applications such as motor control and other inductive switching circuits.

Over 250 logic level triacs provide very high switching performances with low gate current drives, allowing direct drive from microcontrollers.

And almost 300 variants of standard triacs are ideal for general purpose switching and phase control applications, for example for applications as on/off switches in white goods, or as variable load controllers in light dimmers and hand tools.

Fagor SCRs offered by Easby include a choice from over 100 standard high-performance glass-passivated silicon-controlled rectifiers for power supplies each offering different characteristics or packages, and over 200 variants of sensitive gate SCRs which allow direct triggering from low power microcontroller or logic IC outputs, thus simplifying drive circuit design and reducing component count and assembly cost.
