Mini motherboard suits home-automation market
Avalue's EMX-780E Mini-ITX motherboard has a low-power, thermal design and is suitable for applications such as home automation, gaming and medical.
It is able to meet the embedded-market need for low power consumption and provides customers with a better choice for higher level graphics and system performance.
The EMX-780E is adopted on the new generation of high-performance AMD RS780E+SB710 chipsets, which consume 7-15W of power.
This Mini-ITX motherboard supports several single-core, dual-core and quad-core processors, all within 65W, including the latest low-power AM3 processors, such as Phenom II XLT Q54L (65W), Athlon II XL V66C (45W), V64L (45W), V50L (25W).
DDR2 memory is up to 4GB.
The Realtek RTL8111D adopted as LAN chip supports two gigabit Ethernets to provide faster networking communications.
Through a PCIe x16 expansion slot, 3D graphics and system performances can be enhanced with a graphics card.
In addition, the EMX-780E offers expansion interfaces, such as Mini PCI and CF, to meet storage needs.
Equipped with Avalue's AD-8001 AMD M72 PCIEx16 3D graphics card, the EMX-780E is able to manipulate the latest Multi GPU Technology of AMD and support CRT+HDMI+DVI.
Its display controller is the IGP ATI Radeon HD3200, supporting a high-quality resolution and the maximum of two-channel 24-bit LVDS LCD.
The EMX-780E provides agile I/O interfaces, including two SATA, four COM, eight USB 2.0, one keyboard/mouse and 8-bit DI/O.
The AC97 Codec 5.1 channel audio offers line-in, line-out, mic-in and CD-in functions.
