Eco-friendly controllers for multimedia use

Aaeon has unveiled an eco-friendly product line, designed for multimedia applications such as digital signage, outdoor display, kiosk and POS.

This product line will cover two series - Green Embedded Systems (GES) and Green Communication Servers (GCS).

The first product launched from the Green Embedded System line is the GES-1100F, an embedded controller that adopts the Intel Atom N270 Processor (up to 1.6GHz) and features Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipset.

The system memory equips 240-pin non-ECC DDR II 400/533 DIMM socket (up to 2GB).

The GES-1100F consists of two Gigabit Ethernets for faster network communications and a deploys 2.5in Hard Disk Drive bay with SATA interface to serve storage requirements.

Its condensed appearance features desktop and wall-mount options to fit into space-limited applications.

Although a compact system, the GES-1100F has four COM ports, six USB 2.0 and 8-bit Digital I/O for flexibility with inside and outside devices.

This model deploys video and 2CH audio with HD Audio Codec function.

All Aaeon Green Embedded Systems are compliant with Energy Star regulations.
