Boxed embedded computer
is a cool customer
Measuring just 238 x 160 x 60mm, the EES-5718 box computer is ideal for space-critical applications
Measuring just 238 x 160 x 60mm, Evalue's EES-5718 box computer is ideal for space-critical applications. It uses an onboard Intel Celeron M 600MHz processor that provides optimal power consumption at only 7W, and efficient thermal operation is enhanced by the housing chassis which acts as a heatsink to dissipate internal heat and allow noise-free operation.

Boards embed multimedia performance
The ESM-945GM and the ECM-945GM answer multimedia systems designers' needs for high video performance coupled with high-speed network transfers
The removal of the need for a fan also avoids the possibility of system crashes caused by fan failure and further extends the computer's reliability.
Supported with DDR266 memory and the Intel 852GM chipset's integrated graphics capability, the EES-5718 provides realistic 3D graphics with sharp images and enables balanced memory usage between graphics and system for optimal performance.
It supports dual independent displays which allows two separate video sources through CRT and DVI interfaces on single platform, and thus further lowers cost of ownership.
Unlike commercial computers that quickly become obsolete, the EES-5718 is subject to strict revision control and uses components that conform to Intel EID roadmap.
This guarantees up to five years of long-term product supply and further reduces customers' cost of integration and verification for consistent system development.
Other features include 5.1 channel stereo audio, dual 10/100BaseT Ethernet controller and optional gigabit LAN.
A multitude of I/O is available through two serial ports, a parallel port, four high-speed USB 2.0 ports and one IEEE1394A port.
Besides a built-in 2.5in hard drive, the EES-5718 provides a solid-state Flash drive to serve as optional storage for applications requiring extra vibration protection.
Combining all these features, the EES-5718 is aimed at applications like embedded control, interactive kiosks, gaming, digital signs, medical devices and so on.
