Compact SBC runs from
a single 5V supply
Display Solutions has announced the Gene-4310 low-cost single-board computer designed for mobile and low-power applications such as thin-client and set-top-box environments
Measuring only 146 x 101mm, the board supports the NS Geode GXLV 233MHz low-power BGA processor, requiring only 5V DC, and operates in a fanless environment. Made by Aaeon Technology, the SBC has drivers to display CRT and LCD output simultaneously up to 1024 x 768 resolution with 64k colours.

With a 144-pin SODIMM socket onboard, users can add up to 128Mbit of SDRAM and the SSD socket allows the addition of compact flash disc type II memory.
Further expansion comes through the onboard PC/104 connector.
The status monitoring IC supports power supply voltage, fan speed (if fitted) and temperature monitoring for added protection.
