The new chiller option uses a highly efficient compressor to remove heat dissipated by the Temperature Controller 1575's Peltier cell. "Ensuring tight temperature control through a range of temperatures is essential for a variety of production engineering tasks", stated Nick Langston, Director of Business Development for DCI.
"DCI's Temperature Controller 1575 has brought cost-effective temperature control to the benchtop and our SuperTemp 300 chiller option for the unit provides even greater cooling capabilities".
In contrast with alternate cooling approaches, the use of a closed-loop compressor cooling system in the DCI chiller provides heat removal that is 10x more efficient than water cooling and 50x more efficient than air cooling.
Furthermore, water cooling costs more and is ineffective for subzero cooling, which requires the use of glycols.
Available now, the DCI SuperTemp 300 chiller option is a $4000 option to the 1575 or can be purchased separately for $4000.
