This year at Nepcon UK, DEK will showcase new tools and advanced process expertises conceived to assist UK assembly businesses capture opportunities in the global electronics industry. Visitors to the DEK stand, H210, will witness DEK technical specialists demonstrate the next generation capabilities of the new Micron-class Galaxy machine for high accuracy mass imaging. As well as enhanced motion control for ultimate speed and accuracy, new ergonomic features of Galaxy enable complex processes to be controlled intuitively with little operator training.

Leading these enhancements, the Instinctiv user interface presents critical process status information in an easy to read format.

Its "Time To Go" feature allows the user to instinctively manage replenishment of consumables.

Also, real-time graphical monitoring of SPC data hands precise control to operators and process specialists.

Visitors seeking high repeatability and ease of use for high-mix manufacturing will also witness the latest DEK Horizon 03 in action.

Horizon 03 responds to European demands to combine fast changeovers and low capital investment with high-volume repeatability.

There is a new graphical user interface featuring simple step-through menus, an integrated keyboard, trackball input and TFT flat-screen monitor to maximise ergonomic efficiency.

The Horizon 03 demonstration will also highlight the user-friendliness of quality emulsion screens from DEK's Process Support Products division.

Elsewhere on the DEK stand, visitors will be introduced to the new VectorGuard stencil system, which makes frameless stencils more user-friendly by combining the original low-cost and easy storage advantages of the Vector system with valuable extra security during handling and frame mounting.

The DEK Process Support Products range will also be well represented, including high quality consumables, stencils, cleaning products and machine performance upgrades.

DEK staff will be on-site and available to discuss equipment innovations, process challenges and solutions throughout the two-day show.

Nepcon UK will take place on 26th and 27th May 2004, at the Brighton Metropole, Brighton, UK.
