This year at Productronica, DEK will showcase new tools and advanced process expertise conceived to help European assembly businesses seize opportunities in the resurgent world electronics industry

On DEK's booth, Hall A4, stand 305, technical specialists will demonstrate traceability features and 10 micron accuracy inherent in the high-end Micron class Galaxy, highlighting how mass imaging is creating profitable opportunities at the boundaries of SMT assembly and packaging. Further focus demonstrations will highlight special applications that will benefit from the unprecedented flexibility and feature-richness of the new semi-automatic Viking-class platform.

Uniquely at this level, Viking features fully automatic vision alignment, and can be upgraded to support advanced capabilities including ProFlow and pass-through operation.

Elsewhere on the DEK booth, visitors will be introduced to the new VectorGuard stencil system, which makes frameless stencils more user-friendly by combining the original low cost and easy storage advantages of the Vector system with valuable extra security during handling and frame-mounting.

Productronica 2003 will see the European debut of VectorGuard stencil technology.

DEK will also demonstrate important productivity technologies including custom and ready to fit tooling on the semi-automatic DEK 248 alongside the GridLok tooling system, which will be in action on the revised Horizon 03 machine.

Further highlights will include the DEK Interactiv machine support concept, and ProFlow DirEKt Imaging demonstrating paste processes and adhesive PumpPrinting.

The latest Horizon 03 machine now has a revised keyboard to enhance operator accuracy in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing activities, and visitors will be able to try the new keyboard and see the machine in action.

As always, DEK technical staff will be available to discuss equipment innovations, process challenges, and solutions throughout the four days of the show.

Productronica 2003, the 15th international trade fair of electronics production, will take place from 11th to 14th November 2003 at Messe Munchen, Munich, Germany.
