DEK will showcase new platforms and new web-oriented support and operation tools on its stand at Productronica this year

Focusing on the renaissance brought forward by demand for advanced processes and e-manufacturing, DEK will showcase new platforms and new web-oriented support and operation tools on its stand at Productronica this year. Its new Micron-class platform for semiconductor packaging and next generation SMT assembly applications, named Galaxy, embodies new design features as well as DEK's latest thinking on remote real-time machine management.

The launch of the Micron-class platform will accompany a demonstration of DEK's advanced packaging capabilities, highlighted by a complete ball placement line capable of placement of 0.3mm diameter solder balls in area grid arrays for chip scale packaging at wafer and substrate levels.

High-level software for the Micron class platform completely reinvents the man-machine interface and adds important new automated communication features to enhance management and maintenance of the machine.

The software on show will also be available on platforms throughout the DEK range, including the Typhoon-class and new Viking-class ranges that target specific SMT assembly sectors.

With these new technologies, DEK is opening a path to the e-printer, Internet-enabled and managed through a close and connected relationship between the user and DEK's service infrastructure.

As an integral part of this emerging service business model DEK's process support products (PSP) portfolio will be fully represented at Productronica, and staff will be on hand to discuss the benefits of DEK's design advantages and global logistics capability when supporting 24-hour, fast turnaround manufacturing.

Visitors to Productronica 03 can witness these new technologies in action and discuss the benefits of e-manufacturing with senior DEK representatives in Hall no A4, stand 305.
