US firm Displaytech manufactures display panels and single panel systems for numerous applications. Among these products is the low-cost single-panel projection model that incorporates the LightCaster WXGA display panel, model LDP-0983-PV4. This solution will be used in television, data graphic, and video-ready front projectors for business and home entertainment applications.
Densitron will also be marketing Displaytech's QVGA display module for viewfinder applications.
This is a high resolution self illuminated display for colour viewfinder applications and is used in cameras, wireless communication devices, DVD viewers, battery powered games and portable display applications.
"We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by Displaytech to handle their exciting range of display products", said Rod Tietjen, Managing Director of Densitron European operations.
"When it came down to it, there really was only one choice as to who would be our sole representative for our unique range of high technology displays", added Anthony Artigliere, Senior Director of Field Operations for Displaytech.
