TO-220 package goes lead-free
All Crydom SCRs, triacs, alternistors and rectifiers offered in the popular TO-220 package now have lead-free finishes on all connections
This is in response to increasing global concern by customers and standards authorities to reduce the amounts of toxic consumer electronics waste caused by lead and other hazardous substances, as reflected in the RoHS Directive. In addition to RoHS compliance, the discrete TO-220 packages are characterised for use in elevated temperature reflow profiles (260C for 10s), characteristic of the lead-free board assembly processes.
