Gemini offers multiple-tuner capability, including an advanced digital video recorder (DVR) feature set, allowing manufacturers to rapidly respond to escalating market demand across Europe for twin tuner DVRs, while keeping in-house development costs down. Based on Cabot's proven and widely deployed Eclipse pan-European DVB-T core, Gemini enables manufacturers to develop a complete range of DVB-T products for multiple European markets on a single middleware platform, from single tuner set top boxes to twin tuner boxes with DVR capability and supporting simultaneous recording of two channels.

The Gemini advanced DVB core allows manufacturers to build devices that meet the transmission requirements of every European DTT network and interactive standard, including MHEG-5 and MHP, in previously unachievable timescales.
Future versions will include enhanced user interface capabilities such as searching for events on the EPG and folder based management of recordings, as well as new features like USB connectivity and recording compression features.
Aurora Solutions are available on over 15 different CPU architectures ranging from low-end cost efficient solutions to high-end fully featured decoders.
