The Komax Gamma 255 is a fully automatic crimping machine for top-quality processing of ultrafine wires. Users can crimp or twist, flux and tin both ends of the wire down to a cross section of AWG 36. Despite its compact footprint, the Gamma 255 comes with a full range of quality monitoring elements.
And its novel layout allows changeover times to be reduced dramatically.
Thanks to its individual processing stations, the Komax Gamma 255 is extremely flexible.
It processes wire cross-sections from 0.0123mm2/AWG36 to 1.0mm2/AWG17 (optionally to 1.5mm2/AWG16).
The length range extends from 20mm to 1m (optionally up to 10m).
All the usual crimping tools can be used.
Double-sided crimping or twisting, fluxing and tinning are all possible if the appropriate modules are attached.
The entire range of cross-sections is processed using programmable, dynamic servo drives and V-blades.
The standard version of the machine includes a prefeeder plus units to monitor splices, end of wire, knot, stripping and terminals.
The control system has a WPCS interface so it can be used within a network.
Further quality measuring devices like the Komax 331, 341, 351 (pull-out force, crimp height, barcode scanner) can be integrated into the production cycle, along with the recording of measured values.
Thanks to its well-conceived, compact layout, a changeover from crimping to twisting, fluxing and tinning can be done in no time at all.
The machine is easily accessible from all sides.
Operations and material handling procedures are all performed from the front of the machine.
The Komax Gamma 255 is available in the UK from Contax.
