Switching power supply for backplane applications

Contech, a division of Calex, has launched the PC60 series of AC/DC switching power supplies suitable for ruggedised backplane applications.

The PC60 series offers 60W of output power in an encapsulated case.

The optional DIN-rail mount and easily accessible terminal blocks gives it the versatility to be used as a power solution in an assortment of applications.

The PC60 series offers output voltages that range from 5.1VDC to 48VDC, with efficiencies up to 84 per cent.

The series also has output over-voltage protection.

The units are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a plastic resin and fibreglass case that meets UL94V-0.

The enclosed case has external terminal blocks for ease of connection and is chassis mountable.

Adding an optional accessory DIN-03 base plate easily converts the chassis mount case to a standard DIN-rail mount.

The PC60 series is rated for 3000 VAC isolation, is UL approved, and is RoHS compliant.
