Powersolve has announced the TEP 75WI Series of high-power DC/DC converter modules, which are said to be particularly suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

The modules provide up to 75W output power from a sealed, shielded metal case measuring 2.4 x 2.3 x 0.5in (60.9 x 58 x 12.7mm).

They are designed for chassis mount and a screw terminal adaptor is available to simplify connection.

Manufactured by Tracopower, the converters come as standard with an aluminium baseplate that, when combined with a 90 per cent efficiency level, allows for full load operation up to 60C with convection cooling.

An optional heat sink extends the convection-cooled operating temperature range up to +85C.

Input voltages range from 9V to 75V DC and with output voltages from 5V to 48V DC.

Key features include soft start, output voltage trimming and reverse input protection.
