Cimetrix has published the Summer 2006 edition of 'The Standard', a newsletter providing global information and technical details relating to the semiconductor equipment and Materials International (SEMI) Interface A standards. The second edition of The Standard reviews current industry developments related to Interface A, discusses the emerging Tool Data Interface (TDI) specifications, and includes input from equipment suppliers and industry leaders on their implementation experience and issues.
Interface A facilitates high speed, on demand collection of quality data from manufacturing equipment.
These standards provide integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) access to more comprehensive and useful data for equipment engineering systems (EES) applications such as equipment diagnostics systems and advanced process control applications.
The Summer 2006 issue of The Standard builds on the previous edition and provides further information regarding implementation of the Interface A standards, drawing on the expertise of Cimetrix specialists and industry leaders, including Bostjan Pust of leading equipment supplier SEZ, and Harvey Wohlwend from International Sematech Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI).
