Two key design wins in North America and Japan for equipment data acquisition solutions show how equipment suppliers and chip makers need help in acquiring and managing accurate production data

Cimetrix has announced two key design wins in North America and Japan for its equipment data acquisition solutions. Both new customers have selected Cimetrix's award-winning CIMPortal technology for the semiconductor equipment and Materials International (SEMI) Interface A Standards. The adoption by these top North American and Japanese semiconductor equipment customers illustrates the company's leadership in EDA, as equipment suppliers and chip makers continue to turn to Cimetrix for help acquiring and managing quality semiconductor production data faster than ever before to improve productivity and equipment effectiveness.

'When it comes to Interface A compliance, semiconductor equipment suppliers are adopting our solutions with much greater frequency', notes Dave Faulkner, Executive Vice President for Cimetrix.

'Fifty per cent of the world's top 20 semiconductor equipment companies have now adopted the CIMPortal solution making it an integral part of their EDA strategy moving forward'.

Faulkner further noted that Cimetrix is the only company providing an EDA solution which provides both Interface A and the Japanese Tool Data Interface (TDI) specification compliance.

'Cimetrix's ability to providing dual compliance in one product underscores the robustness of our technology and the commitment we continue to make to our customers in Europe, Japan and North America'.
