The 3M ESD Pro event detector can differentiate between non-ESD events such as EMI, stepper motors, solenoids, relays and real electrostatic discharge events.

Available now from Challenger Components, the 3M ESD Pro is a compact handheld ESD event detector that measures just 173 x 65 x 23mm.

The ultimate goal of an ESD programme is to reduce the strength and occurrences of ESD events or electrostatic discharges.

These events can destroy sensitive components during their manufacturing, handing and assembly processes.

Knowledge of presence of ESD events and their relative strength is critical for assessments of this ESD environment.

The portable and easy to use 3M ESD Pro event detector is unusual as it is able to differentiate between non-ESD events such as EMI, stepper motors, solenoids, relays and real electrostatic discharged events.

Audio and visual alarm thresholds can be set to record ESD events and their relative magnitude.

This sensitivity level can be adjusted from 1 to 1000V in both discharge polarities.
