Validation is the engineering process of demonstrating that a particular test system meets the specified requirements according to the Bluetooth system specification, and Cetecom achieved it in a record time of just two months. It has been the fastest validation so far, and this consolidates Cetecom as a front-line supplier in the telecommunications conformance testers market.
In order to ensure the highest level of quality and effectiveness, Cetecom has been working with RFI (Radio Frequency Investigation) as third-party organisation for the validation activities, due to its experience, professionalism and reputation in this field.
RFI was one of the first labs to install a complete BITE test system solution.
The Agilent/Cetecom partnership combines Agilent's advanced measurement science with Cetecom's application and system engineering expertise to provide Bluetooth manufacturers with qualification testing solutions.

Agilent content in the BITE RF tester includes a spectrum analyser, several signal generators, a power meter and a power supply.
Bluetooth RF conformance test cases will shortly migrate to category A, and Bluetooth developers will have to go to accredited BQTFs to perform the necessary testing in order to join the list of qualified products and put their products in the market using the official Bluetooth logo.
As a reference test platform, BITE allows BQTFs to perform category A testing for all the 16 RF qualification test cases (transmitter, transceiver and receiver), automatic reporting, automatic calibration and ICS/IXIT management.
It also provides to manufacturers with a powerful and flexible system capable of test case customisation and parameter control.
Cetecom has been deeply involved in the Bluetooth wireless technology developing test specifications for the SIG, developing and marketing qualification and engineering testers (BITE test systems), achieving official accreditation for BQTF and BQB services, setting up a Bluetooth interoperability laboratory, performing international type approval projects for more than 70 countries and having its testers used as reference solutions worldwide.
The company reckons its Malaga base is a real one stop technology centre for Bluetooth.
