Cetecom Spain has changed its name to AT4 wireless
The interoperability lab, located at Cetecom's base in Malaga, provides a facility for companies to test their Bluetooth products' ability to operate across different platforms and with a wide variety of similar devices. This centre has been entirely developed by Cetecom to create a "one stop" research and test facility for all wireless networking interoperability issues.
The idea is to have products from many companies that can be tested against so-called "reference solutions" to determine whether they are compatible or not.
The first of these is the Fujitsu LifeBook B-2547 Bluetooth- enabled notebook.
"Cetecom decided to create this laboratory to promote Bluetooth wireless technology, helping developers through interoperability issues in addition to the qualification process", explains Rafael Garcia, Bluetooth Manager of Cetecom.

RF tester is first validated by Bluetooth SIG
Cetecom Spain's BITE RF tester has been validated by the Bluetooth SIG for testing Bluetooth Specification RF 2.0+EDR, 1.2, and 1.1 plus the baseband physical tests in version 2.0+EDR, 1.2, and 1.1
"When we receive the reference solutions they are verified by our experts and then interworking with equipment from other companies is analysed and reported".
"Interoperability testing is the key factor to ensure that one Bluetooth device works properly with another Bluetooth device.
We have been deeply involved in Bluetooth wireless technology developing test specifications for the SIG, developing and putting in the market qualification and engineering testers (BITE systems) and getting official accreditation for our BQTF and BQB services.
The interoperability programme is the step that we needed to make our location in Malaga becoming a real one stop technology centre for Bluetooth.
Cetecom will add immediately new partners who are interested in this sort of partnership, in fact several others are close to sign the interoperability programme agreement", says Rafael Garcia.
