The new building provides the company with twice the space it previously occupied in two separate buildings in nearby Sandy, Utah, along with plenty of room for further expansion, and is supplemented by CAO Group's three ISO9000 and TS16949 certified manufacturing and R and D facilities in China.
The West Jordan facility houses manufacturing facilities for the company's medical and dental products, and provides warehousing and North American and European logistics for its optoelectronic components.
It also houses four laboratories, representing the various technologies involved in the Cao Group's diverse product line: optoelectronics, optical, medical and chemical.
Although computers and files were relocated from Sandy, everything else in the new building is new, says President Densen Cao.

Medical products manufactured in Utah include soft tissue surgical lasers, treatment and therapeutic lasers, dermatology punches, wireless controls, sterilisation products, imaging products, lighting products, biopsy products, and a variety of disposable products.
Dental products are oral surgical lasers, dental curing lights, ultrasonic treatment systems, along with teeth whitening and other low cost dental materials.
Forensic products include lights, ballistic lasers, sexual assault detection kits and first responder kits.
Dr Cao calls attention to the visual enterprise ERP system and the US/China synchronised operations to serve global customers 24/7.
'We differ from other North American companies who are bringing in LED and other optoelectronic components from China, because we haven't outsourced, but are doing our own manufacturing, in plants that we own, with products based primarily on our own patented technologies', he adds.
