Convertors simplify distributed architectures
The latest wide-input multiple-output half-brick DC/DC convertors from C and D Technologies deliver space savings, reduced component count and easier circuit layout to distributed power architectures
The latest wide-input multiple-output half-brick DC/DC convertors from C and D Technologies have been specifically developed to deliver space savings, reduced component count and simplified circuit layout to the distributed power architectures (DPAs) increasingly used in industrial applications.

Featuring power ratings of 60 and 100W, respectively, the new industrial IHB60 and IHB100 series each comprise eight high-density DC/DC convertors with efficiency ratings up to 88% and wide-input options of either 18-40 or 33-75V.
The convertors maximise design flexibility by allowing the configuration of single, dual- or triple-output operation without excessive minimum load requirements or crossregulation degradation.
Each output channel is independently current limited and isolation between channels is rated at 500V DC.

IHB60 and IHB100 convertors are capable of operating with a baseplate temperature of between -40 and +100C and use a fixed switching frequency that contributes to simplified EMI filtering.
An external synchronisation function enables designers to address higher power industrial DPA requirements by allowing the switching frequency of multiple connected convertors to be closely matched.
Safety approved to UL/CUL 1950, CSA22.2 #234 and EN 60950, the new convertors have an input/output isolation rating of 1500V DC and can be supplied with output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15V, depending on the device chosen.
An external on/off facility provides remote shutdown and restart functionality.
Available now and supplied in a standard half-brick format, the IHB60 and IHB100 converters all have dimensions of 58.4 x 61.0 x 12.7mm.
Unit pricing in OEM quantities starts at $57.06 for the 60W IHB devices and $63.40 for the 100W parts.
