Surface-mount inductors are suitable for use in low-power line-filtering applications in consumer, industrial and telecomms applications

C and D Technologies has introduced two new ranges of low-profile, drum-core, shielded surface-mount inductors. The 2900 and 2900L series are suitable for use in low-power line-filtering applications in consumer, industrial and telecomms applications. The compact dimensions of the new parts make them especially useful in designs where PCB real-estate and height are limited.

The 2900 series measures 7.2 x 7.2 x 4.0mm.

The 2900L series has the same footprint but offers a reduced overall height of just 3.15mm.

An integral shield is a feature of all parts making them appropriate for designs where EMI sensitivity is a concern.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +85C.

Both the 2900 and 2900L series are available with inductance values ranging from 1.0uH to 1.0mH.

All parts are RoHS and J-STD-020-C reflow compliant, and use UL94V0 rated materials in their construction.

Tape and reel packaging makes the new inductors suitable for automated assembly processes.
