Bluetooth chip features
in SEMCO mega deal
Cambridge Silicon Radio has signed a volume price agreement with SEMCO (Samsung Electro-Mechanics Company) under which SEMCO will purchase 1 million BlueCore2 Bluetooth chips from CSR in 2003
SEMCO will use these devices in modules to provide Bluetooth capability to a wide range of end products, including Samsung laptops, PDAs and other consumer electronic devices. John Hodgson, chief executive officer of CSR commented, "This is a significant agreement, it demonstrates the confidence that SEMCO, a major player in consumer electronics, has in CSR's ability to manufacture in volume - and that Bluetooth is selling in volume.
