Flash memory is optimised for Bluetooth
Cambridge Silicon Radio and Fujitsu have been working together to develop Flash memory optimised for Bluetooth requirements
Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) and Fujitsu are working together to develop Flash memory for Bluetooth requirements. As part of the agreement, Fujitsu has created 3.0V, 4 and 8Mbit Flash memory optimised for CSR, available in FBGA, CSP and TSOP packaging. Fujitsu will also create 1.8V 4 and 8Mbit Flash memory for CSR.

The devices, which are available now, will be sold through CSR channels bundled with CSR BlueCore solutions, easing the ordering process for CSR customers.
The devices will also be sold by Fujitsu.
CSR distributors will offer 3V, 4Mbit, 90ns Flash memory at a highly competitive price, whatever the quantity, when bundled with CSR's BlueCore products.

Fixed pricing on the Flash memory is being offered for the next 12 months, with a guaranteed supply from Fujitsu.
The chipset offers a very cost effective solution, and CSR provides an easy single point of purchase through CSR distributors.

Chelsom-Pill continued, "Bluetooth developers can now buy the industry leading CSR BlueCore2-Ext product range bundled with either 3V 4 or 8Mbit Flash from Fujitsu as a chipset directly from our CSR distribution network.
With the BlueCore2-Ext we offer the most competitive solution on the market today".
