Cadence Design Systems has appointed Sean Redmond to be the company's new Vice President of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Redmond, who joined Cadence as part of the acquisition of Verisity, had been Verisity's Vice President and General Manager, responsible for all sales and business operations for Europe and Israel. He will be based in Bracknell, UK. Prior to Verisity, Redmond worked for both EDA and semiconductor companies in a range of engineering and sales roles.

'I'm delighted to have the opportunity to help the world's strongest provider of design technology to deliver greater value to our customers', said Redmond.

'The combination of Cadence and Verisity is uniquely positioned to improve productivity and reduce risk for our customers as they tackle the most complex designs the world has ever seen'.
