A new range of TO5 radial-lead fuses in both square and round package styles offers a wide range of ratings. Available in both quick blow and time delay types, the new TO5 round and square fuses complement Camden's extensive portfolio of fuses and fuseholders that includes 4 x 7mm microminiature axial fuses in fast acting and slow blow variants. Quick blow types are available in 22 different ratings from 50mA up to 6.3A with approvals from VDE (50mA to 5A), and CSA and UL (50mA to 6.3A).
Time delay types feature 23 ratings from 40mA to 6.3A with approvals from VDE (40mA to 4A) and UL/CSA (40mA to 6.3A).
All ratings are available in both round and square packages.
Electrical characteristics for both round and square types include blowing times ranging from 60min minimum to 20ms maximum for 1.5 to 10 times rating, respectively, for quick blow types (50mA to 5A) and 60min minimum to 150ms maximum for 1.5 to 10 times rated current, respectively, for time delay types (40mA to 5A).
The 6.3A rated fuses for both quick blow and time delay types feature blowing times from 60min minimum to 150ms maximum for 1.5 to 10 times rating, respectively.
Interrupt rating is the greater of 35A or 10 times rating at 250V AC and voltage rating for all fuses is 250V AC.
Camden Electronics' new TO5 style round and square fuses are capable of withstanding infra-red reflow soldering temperatures of 260C for 20s maximum (10s maximum for wave soldering) and can be supplied either loose or taped in ammo pack.
A range of surface-mount fuses is also available.
The new TO5 fuses are available from Camden Electronics and the company's franchised distributors.
