Axiomtek has introduced a fan-less I/O-rich embedded box computer that is ideal for automation control, digital signage, car PC, medical healthcare and entry-level gaming.

The Ebox622-831-FL has six COM ports (RS232) and a front-accessible Compactflash socket.

The compact unit, built with Intel 945GSE Express chipset and ICH7M Southbridge, supports a low-power Intel Atom processor N270 1.60GHz.

One 200-pin DDR2 Sodimm socket supports up to 2GB system memory.

Its fan-less design and thermal solution cools the system and allows it to offer optimum computing performance and operate without noise.

Certified with CE Class-B marking, the Ebox622-831-FL features storage interfaces including a 2.5in Sata hard drive and CF slot.

The noiseless embedded computer platform, which measures 200 x 120 x 75mm in size, features complete expandability, including four USB 2.0 ports, six COM ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, VGA and audio.

Additionally, the fan-less Ebox622-831-FL supports various embedded operating systems including Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded (XPE), and Linux.

For flexible installation, this durable unit can be DIN-rail mounted, wall-mounted, Vesa-mounted or stand-mounted.

Moreover, it has a built-in Watchdog Timer to reset the system after a crash or system error.

The electronics are well-protected in a rugged aluminium and cold-rolled steel housing, enabling the unit to offer reliability, a robust design, fan-less operation and complete expandability for using in harsh environments.

The RoHS-compliant power-saving product will be available around the end of August 2010.
