SSAG slide switches launched by Alps Electric

Alps Electric Europe has launched the SSAG series of double-side or single-side (right or left) recoil-type slide switches.

These surface-mountable components have a long operating life of up to 100,000 switching cycles and compact, low-profile dimensions of 9.05 x 3.00 x 1.15mm (W x D x H).

The one-pole, three-position switches are rated for switching currents of up to 10mA at a maximum of 5VDC or 50umA at 3VDC.

Typical applications include portable devices, such as digital cameras, mobile phones, PDAs, and digital audio devices, where the switches are used to change the operating mode, volume, zoom or turning the power on or off.

The SSAG series of slide switches require an operating force of 1N (recoil side) or 1.5N (lock side).

The range's operating temperature ranges between -10C and +60C.

The travel length amounts to 1.5mm.

The other specifications include a maximum initial contact resistance of 200mohm, an insulation resistance higher than 100mohm at 100VDC, and a voltage proof of 100VAC per minute.

The switches are suitable for reflow soldering and are available in minimum packing units of 16,000 pieces.

For automatic mounting, they are packaged on embossed tape with a width of 25.4mm.
