AVX simulator helps designers pick product rating
AVX has developed the AVX Component Simulator, a component modelling and simulation software that can reduce cost, time to market and potential quality issues.
The AVX Component Simulator enables designers to view all basic characteristics and parameters for Accu-P, Accu-L, thin-film low pass filters, couplers, 3dB splitters, Hi-CV SMT, LICC, LGA and IDC products.

AVX has developed a new component modelling and simulation software.
It features multiple parameter graphing options including Smith Charts, S-parameter, ESR, impedance, current, inductance and capacitance values.
Jiri Pernicky, marketing communications manager for AVX, said: 'The AVX Component Simulator tool improves the PC-based design-in process for a broad spectrum of our advanced components.
'However, for this approach to be effective, high-quality models are required to show realistic behaviour and not merely ideal performance.
'This is a great tool for design engineers to help in the selection of the correct rating for their application.' The AVX Component Simulator generates appropriate product part numbers based on a customer's technical specifications.
The software also provides internet links for data sheets, samples and distributor stock checks.
