Atrenta has been named in the first-annual AlwaysOn (AO) Top 100 Private Companies list, which recognises innovative private companies that have demonstrated market traction and innovative technologies. The award distinguished Atrenta's SpyGlass because of its unique predictive analysis technique, which predicts critical design problems very early at design creation stage, before lengthy synthesis and simulation runs, thereby saving months of recoding, resynthesis and reverification cycles. "We are honoured to receive the AO100 award for delivering innovative and game-changing technology solutions to the market", said Ajoy Bose, Atrenta Chairman, President and CEO.

"This award is continued validation of Atrenta's innovation in solving a major challenge in designing complex SoCs with its unique predictive analysis technique".

Tony Perkins, AlwaysOn founder and Editor, and KPMG 1Start, identified Atrenta based on its innovation and demonstrated leadership among its peers in at least two areas: market traction measured by revenue and customer growth and game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players.

AlwaysOn, the media company that covers innovation in technology and business, compiled the list with assistance from KPMG's emerging business practice, KPMG 1Start.

The two groups surveyed more than 1000 venture investors, investment bankers, top entrepreneurs and executives, who nominated more than 700 companies for the competition.

In explaining the selection process, Perkins notes: "Our survey proves that private company innovation is alive and thriving.

To raise money and win customers in this market, private companies must show that their products and services are an order of magnitude above what currently exists in the marketplace".
