Distribution expands to TFT line
NEC Electronics (Europe) has extended its European relationship with Arrow by signing a franchise distribution agreement for TFT LCD modules that will cover the UK and Ireland for the first time
NEC Electronics (Europe) has extended its European relationship with Arrow by signing a franchise distribution agreement for TFT LCD modules that will cover the UK and the Republic of Ireland for the first time. Under the terms of the new agreement, Arrow Electronics UK will now stock and support the full range of NEC colour TFT displays.

This range comprises display sizes from 5.5 to 21.3in, and includes solutions based on NEC's unique technologies with high transmissibility and luminance on standard products, high reflectivity on transflective displays and ultra wide viewing angles based on super fine technology (SFT).
Commenting on the signing of NEC Displays in the UK, David Spragg, Arrow's supplier marketing director, states: "Adding the NEC TFT LCD range to our displays portfolio is a strategically important move in a year that has seen us increase our focus on the growing UK market for TFT solutions.
The NEC range complements our existing portfolio that includes displays and products that support TFT designs including industrial single board computers and high-end processors".
Thomas Wittek from NEC Electronics (Europe) adds: "Providing Arrow Electronics UK with the TFT franchise harmonises the line across Europe and is another step forward in the development of our ongoing, strategic relationship".
