Start with the news release Backlight power savings are all in the maths from MagnaChip Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "Algorithm can reduce the luminance of LCD backlights by up to 50% through the analysis of the image data in LCD driver chips and the related adjustment of power consumption rates in the LED drivers". A few weeks before, we featured the news release LCDs incorporate touch technology from Arrow Electronics (UK): "The Everbouquet LCD screens are transmissive type colour active matrix TFT LCD modules that use amorphous silicon technology and include integrated chip on glass (COG) drivers and LED backlights".

In August 2007, we covered the news from Arrow Electronics (UK) concerning its Everbouquet MF240320B24-BFW and MC20E2D - take a look at LCD modules ease design process which says: "Arrow's two most recent LCD modules are designed to ease integration into new system designs as well as direct replacement of higher cost units in existing designs".

Take a look also at the news release from RAiO Technology, LCD controller replaces legacy Epson devices, as well as Small-format board supports small-format LCDs from Axiomtek, and Handheld cases protect with rubber from OKW Enclosures.
