Microchip's new PICDEM MSC1 demonstration board simplifies the design of mixed-signal applications
Designed for use with the PICmicro PIC16C781 and PIC16C782 configurable analogue microcontrollers, the PICDEM mixed signal controller 1 demonstration board lets users configure the microcontrollers' multiple digital and analogue peripherals and download the configuration for quick evaluation.

The PICDEM MSC1 firmware allows designers to configure the inputs and outputs of each peripheral module; load and view the contents of the special purpose registers; operate a dynamic conversion loop for scoping the DAC module output; or continuously monitor the ADC input channels.
The PIC16C781 and PIC16C782 microcontrollers offer a single-chip solution for embedded measurement and control applications.
Target markets for the highly flexible PIC16C781 and PIC16C782 configurable analogue microcontrollers include almost any application where there is some form of closed loop control that may use firmware or hardware control.
The PIC16C781 and PIC16C782 are available in 20-pin PDIP, SOIC and SSOP packages.
