After a seven year spell with CEVA (formerly Parthus Technology), Gregory Massey has returned to Belfast-based codec manufacturer APT where he is now Chief Technical Officer. Massey, who has an Honours degree in Electronic Systems and an MBA, began his career developing embedded systems (hardware/software and firmware) for a variety of products including biomedical appliances, single board computers and direct to disk audio. During the last 15 years he has concentrated on design, product development and intellectual property development, working on SoC design implementation for some of the largest semiconductor companies in the world.

His move back to APT has delighted the company, says Managing Director Noel McKenna.

'Greg has exactly the right combination of engineering knowledge and business acumen that we need for this role'.

'We were sorry to lose him when he decided to take up the post at CEVA seven years ago, but getting him back - and with so much additional experience in areas that are important to the future of our own business - is a real bonus'.

Massey adds: 'Having tracked the success of APT over recent years I am thrilled to be part of this highly focused and enthusiastic team'.

'The breadth and depth of talent, plus the commitment to quality and technical excellence in all areas of the business, provides a firm base from which to grow the company'.

'It gives me great pleasure to assist the team in achieving its goals and in supporting broadcast and post production customers worldwide by providing products and algorithms that will keep APT leading the way'.
