The MT8860A WLAN test set is the first high-speed measurement solution designed specifically for testing WLAN devices in the 2.4 and 4.8-6GHz industrial scientific and medical (ISM) frequency bands. The MT8860A is the world's first universal solution for WLAN receiver sensitivity measurements. This resolves a long-standing concern among manufacturers over the absence of a suitable production test system.
The MT8860A simplifies production test, improves quality and increases manufacturing throughput.
The new test set is suitable for both production and design proving, ensuring the accurate measurement of WLAN devices from the initial design phase through to volume production.
This ensures that every stage of the product development process is monitored and tested.
The MT8860A supports a wide range of 802.11b transmitter and receiver measurements including, frequency, spectrum analysis, harmonics, and receiver sensitivity measurements, from a single test instrument.
Measurements on 802.11a and 802.11g standards will be added through options or updates, enabling the testing of all 802.11 WLAN devices from one integrated test tool.
The user interface is implemented through the supplied LANLook software package, which runs on a standard PC and uses a conventional Windows interface for both instrument configuration and results display, providing the user with a familiar environment for testing and analysis.
